IRA and Homework Videos:

Section 1.3

IRA #2, HW #4 (1.3.7)

You are supposed to find all the possible samples of 3 courses.
I used course numbers of 1-5 rather than the 3-digit courses in the problem, but the idea is the same.
Once you list all 10 possible samples, you need to check off each sample in the list in MyLab.

IRA #4 (1.3.9)

This video shows how to use a random number table.
The video is slightly different than some of the HW:

  • I looked for 3 digit numbers instead of 2. (Some HW problems only ask for 2 digit numbers.)
  • I started with row 1/column 1 but MyLab may give you a different starting point.
  • So, your problem may vary slightly, but this video should help you understand how to use the table.
If a number is too big, omit it. Also omit any repeated values.
