Week 1 Learning Path

Day 1 – Monday June 17

Cover Chapter 1 – There are six sections in this chapter which seems like a lot, but they are all based on definitions and concepts.

Section 1.1

Print out the Pointers and the Guided Notebook for this section.
Make your way through Interactive Reading Assignment (IRA) for this section. You must score 70% or higher in order to have access to the HW assignment for this section.
Do the homework assignment for this section.

Sections 1.2 – 1.4

Repeat the same process for each section.

Sections 1.5 – 1.6

These two sections only have an IRA, there is no homework assignment that follows.

Day 2 – Tuesday June 18

Cover Chapter 2 – There are only 3 sections that we cover in this chapter. We skip Section 2.3, and there is only an IRA for Section 2.4 (no HW assignment). Be sure to learn how to use StatCrunch to make all of the graphs in this section.

Print out the Pointers and the Guided Notebook for this section.
Make your way through Interactive Reading Assignment (IRA) for this section. You must score 70% or higher in order to have access to the HW assignment for this section.
Do the homework assignment for this section.

Section 2.2

Section 2.4

This section only has an IRA, there is no homework assignment that follows.

Project Update

There are several graphs that need to be created for the first part of Written Project 1. Once you finish Chapter 2 you should be able to do all of the graphs.

Day 3 – Wednesday June 19

Cover the first half of Chapter 3 – Sections 3.1 & 3.2. We skip Section 3.3. Be sure that you learn how to use StatCrunch to perform all of the calculations in this chapter.

Day 4 – Thursday June 20

Cover the second half of Chapter 3 – Sections 3.4 & 3.5. (We skip Section 3.3.) Be sure that you learn how to use StatCrunch to perform all of the calculations in this chapter.

Project Update

There are several calculations that need to be done (using StatCrunch) for the first part of Written Project 1. Once you finish Chapter 3 you should be able to do all of the calculations. Once all of the graphs and calculations are done there is still a short essay that you need to write.

Day 5 – Friday June 21

Cover the first two sections of Chapter 4 – Sections 4.1 & 4.2. (We skip Sections 4.3 & 4.4). Be sure that you learn how to use StatCrunch to create all of the graphs and perform all of the calculations in this chapter.

Make your way through Interactive Reading Assignment (IRA) for this section. You must score 70% or higher in order to have access to the HW assignment for this section.
Do the homework assignment for this section.

Section 4.2

Repeat the same process for this section.

Project Update

There are two problems that you need to work through (using StatCrunch) for the second part of Written Project 1. Once you finish Chapter 4 you should be able to complete Written Project 1.
