Pete Hill was the best all-around outfielder of the Deadball Era. He had a great arm and good speed, and was difficult to strike out.

Pete Hill’s career spanned from 1889-1926. Among the many teams he played for includes the Cuban X-Giants, Chicago American Giants, Detroit Stars, and Baltimore Black Sox. He was a consistent line drive hitter with some power, and could also bunt for base hits. Along with Ty Cobb and Tris Speaker, he was considered one of the greatest outfielders of his era, winning multiple championships. He was selected to Cum Posey’s All-Time All-Star team.

Pete Hill was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2006.
